RX7GURU.COM SR Motorsport's stock location upgrade intercooler Above are some images of my SR Motorsport's Intercooler and Intercooler pipe. The intercooler is a stock replacement that bolts right in and is over 200% bigger than the stock one. It is made out of all Aluminum and the intercooler pipes are Crome Polish, which adds some show in the Rotary engine department. This unit was a added benefit to the RX-7 Rotary Engine because it mounted in the stock location. I did not have to move the battery and it did not add any turbo lag because of the short pipes. For a road racer this would be ideal. Upgrading the stock intercooler is a almost a MUST. I think the stock one is almost useless. I will be looking into a Front mount from either Apex-i, Greddy, HKS or Blitz in the future and will keep you posted.
